A Guide to the Lagree Method Workout

At The Lagree Method in Dublin, we have seen our clients achieve results that have helped them with not only strengthening their body, but also their minds. At our Lagree studio, our focus is to teach the Lagree Method the way that it was designed to be taught by Sebastien Lagree himself, the creator of the workout. Our knowledgeable instructors teach the low intensity, high impact workout on the Megaformer machine which was exclusively designed by Sebastien Lagree himself specifically for the workout method.

One of the first things to keep in mind when attending your first class is to not be intimidated by the Megaformer machine. While it may look like a large, confusing contraption at first, our friendly instructors will walk you through the basics before class so you can get a better understanding of what to expect. Many of our clients have reported that it takes several classes to truly begin feeling confident knowing what you are doing, so keep in mind that you are not alone if you are feeling like a fish out of water. When you stick with it, we promise that it will be life-changing for you both physically and mentally!

Our classes are 45-minutes long and require grippy socks for both safety and sanitary reasons. The Megaformer machines can get a bit slippery when you start sweating and we want to make sure that you don’t slip and injure yourself.

Our Classes

We offer a variety of classes at our Lagree fitness studio in Dublin. All of our classes are taught by experienced and trained instructors who are more than happy to help you throughout your class. These classes include:

Fundamentals / Beginner Intro Class

This class is primarily focused on the education of Lagree and the foundational movements. At the end of this class, there will be a 15-minute workout to review what you have learned. If you are looking for a class that is more focused on the Lagree workout itself as opposed to education, this may not be the class for you (although we highly recommend it for anyone who is new to the Lagree fitness method).

Full Body Workout

This is our standard class, which is a 45-minute full-body Lagree workout. In this class, we go through a variety of exercises on the Megaformer machine that address cardio, muscular endurance, strength training, and flexibility for a comprehensive, low-impact yet high-intensity workout. While each instructor will add their own spin to a Lagree fitness class, every class will stem from the Lagree Method created by Sebastien Lagree and provide you with a difficult workout that will leave you feeling strong and empowered afterward. Our instructors will also be available during each of these classes to provide you with guidance and assistance as needed as you work through the different exercises.

The Lagree Method Difference

If you haven’t taken a Lagree class before, you may be wondering what makes it stand out from other workout classes. Lagree is focused on slow controlled movements in order to build slow twitch muscle fiber giving you a lean elongated look. But don’t be fooled — just because the Lagree workout has slower movements doesn’t mean you won’t be getting that heartrate up!
