5 Tips For Getting the Most Out of Your Lagree Workout

When it comes to the Lagree fitness method, we understand how confusing it may seem to newcomers. There are always new things to learn and ways to adjust in order to make the most out of your class — which is exactly why we are writing this! Today we will be going over five tips for making the most of your Lagree workout at The Lagree Method in Dublin, and if you have any questions or are looking to schedule a class, give us a call today!

1. Don’t Be Late to Class

You will want to arrive at least 5 minutes early to class, even 10 if it is your first time and you are looking to familiarize yourself with the studio and how to use the Megaformer machine. It also never feels good to rush to the studio regardless if it is your first class or your 100th, and some studios have a hard cutoff after class begins. So be on time, if not early!

2. Set Yourself Up for Success

A great tip we suggest is to ask your instructor to place you next to an experienced client. Classes tend to move fairly quickly, especially if there aren’t many new clients in the class, so when your instructor transitions the class quickly from move to move, you can glance over at your neighbor.

3. Don’t Slip

And we don’t mean mess up, because we fully understand how that can happen. We just want you to be safe, which is why we require our clients to wear grippy socks during class. Not only will they help you to stay safe, but it will also give you some leverage on the Megaformer machine and keep things sanitary.

4. Make Yourself at Home

At The Lagree Method in Dublin, we absolutely love getting to know our clients! Never be afraid to introduce yourself to your instructor, letting them know that you are new to Lagree fitness if you have never done a workout before and they can give you a demonstration of the machine. It likely won’t be a very enjoyable first class if you don’t know the difference between the front and back platforms or the difference between the red handles and the black ones. It is a totally new (and confusing-looking) piece of equipment, so you will definitely want to familiarize yourself!

5. Don’t Be Afraid to Modify

You do not need to be a seasoned athlete in order to take a Lagree fitness class (although it will benefit seasoned athletes, too!). Each class is designed for people of all fitness levels, meaning there are ways to modify each exercise if you are needing a little bit less intensity or some variation when the challenge is needed. Also, be sure to let your instructor know ahead of class if you have any injuries or are pregnant to take into consideration as they can provide variations to movements that don’t feel good. All of our instructors are welcoming and encouraging and will be more than glad to help you throughout your class.

There you have it! If you have any questions or are looking for a few more tips on how to make the most out of your Lagree fitness class at The Lagree Method in Dublin, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or swing by our studio! We also offer a first class free so you can get a better idea of what our classes are like before committing to a membership.
